Tyson Foods, Inc. is an American, multinational, protein-focused food company producing approximately one fifth (20 per cent) of the beef, pork, and chicken in the United States.
The company operates through five segments:
Beef: 155 thousand head per week capacity across 12 facilities and producing 35 per cent of the company’s revenue.
Pork: 461 thousand head per week capacity across six facilities and producing ten per cent of the company’s revenue.
Chicken: Vertically integrated operation with 45 million head per week capacity across 183 facilities and producing 31 per cent of the company’s revenue.
Prepared Foods: 76 million pounds per week capacity across 40 facilities and producing 20 per cent of the company’s revenue.
International & Other: Exporting food internationally and producing three per cent of the company’s revenue.
